Cancellation & Refund Policy
How to stop your subscription, how Razorpay auto-debit works, and the conditions under which we issue a refund. No fine-print tricks.

This Cancellation & Refund Policy applies to the paid subscription plans offered on finvestr.com and the related FinvestR application. By subscribing, you agree to the terms below.
The free tier of the Service is, and will remain, free. There is nothing to cancel for free users — your account is simply not enrolled in any paid plan.
1. How subscriptions work
Paid plans are billed in advance for the chosen billing cycle (monthly, quarterly, or annual) through Razorpay, our payment gateway. Your subscription auto-renews at the end of each cycle unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can verify your next renewal date in your account settings at any time.
2. How to cancel
You can cancel your subscription at any time using either of the following methods. Cancellation is effective immediately; you will continue to have access to paid features until the end of the current billing cycle, after which your account will move to the free tier.
- From inside the app: go to Settings → Subscription → Cancel subscription.
- By email: send a cancellation request from your registered email address to [email protected]. We will process it within two (2) business days.
3. E-mandate and auto-debit (Razorpay)
Recurring payments in India are processed using RBI-registered e-mandates presented by Razorpay to your bank. By subscribing, you authorise FinvestR and Razorpay to debit the subscription fee from your selected payment instrument on each renewal date.
You can revoke the e-mandate at any time through any of the following channels: (a) your bank's net-banking or mobile-banking interface under "Standing Instructions" or "Mandates", (b) Razorpay's customer portal, or (c) by writing to [email protected]. Revoking the e-mandate cancels future renewals but does not refund the current cycle.
4. Refund eligibility
Because the Service is a software subscription where access is granted immediately on payment, we follow a limited-refund policy. Refunds are issued only in the following circumstances:
- Duplicate transaction: you were charged twice for the same subscription period due to a payment-gateway error.
- Failed service: a documented, persistent technical failure of the paid features that our support team is unable to resolve within a reasonable time after you have reported it.
- Unauthorized charge: you can demonstrate that the charge was made without your knowledge or consent, and you have raised a dispute within seven (7) days of the charge.
5. Non-refundable cases
Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:
- Change of mind after the subscription has been used.
- Partial use of a billing cycle (for example, you cancel on day 10 of a 30-day cycle — the unused portion is non-refundable).
- Failure to use the Service despite it being available and functional.
- Market-related losses, missed investment opportunities, or other indirect consequences of using (or not using) the analytics on the Service.
6. Refund processing
Eligible refunds are processed within seven (7) business days of approval. The refund is credited to the original payment instrument used at the time of purchase. Depending on your bank, it may take an additional three to seven (3–7) business days for the refund to reflect in your account.
All subscription fees are inclusive of GST. Any refund processed will be for the pre-tax component net of GST already paid and remitted to the Government, unless the refund is being issued under a statutory obligation that requires GST reversal.
7. Disputes and chargebacks
If you have a billing concern, please contact us first at [email protected]. We will respond within two (2) business days and resolve genuine billing errors at no friction. Initiating a chargeback with your bank before contacting us may delay resolution, as chargeback workflows involve third-party payment processors and typically take 30–60 days.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cancellation & Refund Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email and an in-app notice at least fifteen (15) days before they take effect. Continued use of the paid plan after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
